Abstract

  • The photodimerization of photosalient materials, could drive photo-actuators. Cinnamalites present strong photosalient properties. Crystal structure prediction was performed to obtain insight into the reactivity of cinnamalites. An energy landscape was acquired at the plane-wave density functional theory (pwDFT) level. This pwDFT landscape did not agree with experimental data. So, the landscape was improved upon with a monomer corrected SCS-MP2D method.
